Being Commercially Smart

Your energy will introduce you before you do.

I meet so many clever people who say they hate selling. Selling is seen as something icky and awful and awkward. It is often thought of as a process where you are forcing something onto someone against their will. A process of manipulation where you are 'making someone buy something'.

I have always liked the idea of selling being an opportunity. Of offering someone something. An opportunity or an experience.

One of the things that people miss about sales is that you are really only selling yourself. People buy off people. When you are selling your own products and services, it is even more important to be aware of how you show up.

Your energy will introduce you before you do. People will smell desperation. They will feel your vibe. It's vital that you are aware of this and that you turn up turned on!

Matt and I have just sent our new book "Commercially Smart" for its final edit. The book is written for clever people who want to be better. People who need help to become commercially smart.
