As thought leaders running commercially successful practices, we can get caught up in many of the things happening around us. Bank accounts, calendar appointments, works in progress, our calls, meetings, and moments. It’s a lot of stuff.
Because a practice is built around your energy, it’s super important that you stay above the drama of the day-to-day and focus intensely on what matters. We teach that three things matter: thinking, selling, and delivering.
To focus on these three things, you want to get support on what others can do—booking travel, confirming appointments, invoicing, and end-of-month bank reconciliations.
It also helps to stay clear and focused on one or two main things. For me, a few simple questions keep me clear and focused.
What is the most important thing I can do today?
What is the one thing I am resisting doing? What is this resistance showing me?
What would I choose to do if I did not have to work another day in my life? Knowing this, how can I move my reality closer to that possibility?
By working with these three big roles and asking questions about how you spend your time, you realise the benefit of running a profitable and personal practice.
