A lot of what we do as thought leaders starts as make believe.
Listen to the blog here.
We see something others don’t.
We believe in a transformation we haven’t yet delivered.
We teach ideas that don’t yet exist in physical form.
In short, we sell the invisible—and that takes courage.
It’s also why tangibility matters.
It’s why books still work.
Why a brilliant speech gets you booked again.
Why a website, a well-crafted blog, or a personal note in the mail still make a difference.
Because people need to see what you stand for.
The best thought leaders I know create artefacts.
A book that lands in someone’s hands and opens a conversation.
A short video that clarifies a complex idea.
A model that simplifies the messy middle of someone’s challenge.
These aren't just marketing tools—they're credibility anchors.
Here are a few tangible things that move the needle:
- A book (even a digital one)
- A one-page framework
- A blog or podcast that consistently shows up
- A low-friction first experience (free or low-cost)
- A referral or strong word-of-mouth moment
- A keynote or live session that wows
These things build trust—not because they’re shiny, but because they show you’re real.
And here’s the secret…the first person who needs to believe in your practice is you.
You have to believe in the value of what you’re offering before the world will.
You have to see it, create it, and share it before it “exists.”
That’s the nature of this game we play.
So:
What can you make tangible this quarter?
What can you put in the hands, minds, or hearts of the people who need your work?
Your insights are powerful.
Now make them visible.
Make them real.
